Coach Purses Compared Fit and Feel Notes

An In-Depth Guide to Coach Bags

Established in 1941, Coach initially produced men’s small leather goods, while women’s handbags arrived later before becoming the heart of the brand. Today the lineup of coach handbags covers firm shoulder bags, relaxed hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues. This rundown takes each main line in turn, looking at what the bag is, when it appeared and how it is made. Some popular lines have no reliable launch year on record, so launch dates are given in this guide only where they are documented.

The prices here are observed market prices from 2026 rather than figures from an official price list, and they shift with size, material and promotions. Similar names can refer to completely different designs, something useful to know before buying your first coach bag. A search for “couch bag”, which certain shoppers type when looking for a Coach bag, can pull furniture pages into the results since the first word also means a sofa.

The Tabby

The Tabby is a firm-bodied shoulder bag built to be worn crossbody as well, featuring detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware. The designer Stuart Vevers unveiled it in 2019, and its silhouette was drawn from Coach’s 1970s archive. Its launch campaign, “Dream It Real”, was reportedly shot by photographer Juergen Teller. Listings have shown sizes 20, 26 and 36, whereas the base product name is coach store Tabby Shoulder Bag.

Titles such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting identify the padded Pillow Tabby, which followed in 2021. The Tabby 26 had an observed price of $475 in the US and £475 in the UK, with quilted and special-edition versions listed above it. Because it shifts easily between shoulder and crossbody wear, it works well for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.

The Brooklyn Family

Made in natural-grain leather, the Brooklyn is a soft, slouchy coach shoulder bag which sits much closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. After being shown on the Fall 2024 runway, it launched in August 2024. The Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39 are the two main sizes reported so far. Billed as roomy enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 works as a practical work bag.

For the Spring 2026 season, a newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported, though it is not the same bag as the shoulder styles. At John Lewis in the UK, the Brooklyn 28 had an observed price of £350. The Brooklyn was among the bags cited as The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had risen 160%. The figure, it should be noted, counts searches rather than resale prices.

Rogue

Coach’s answer to the structured satchel is the Rogue, which comes with top handles and a shoulder strap. Introduced on the Fall 2016 runway, the bag was later discontinued; a 2021 relaunch brought it back. At the top of Coach’s leather range, the line includes versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. The steepest Coach bag price observed in 2026 came from a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.

There is also a Made-to-Order Rogue from Coach, and it has reportedly taken roughly 12 weeks, rising to roughly 16 weeks with exotic materials. Through Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also surfaced. For many collectors, the Rogue shows how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.

The Empire Carryall Line

The Empire Carryall is an elongated, east-west top-handle bag named in listings as the Empire Carryall Bag 34. After appearing on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway, it arrived in February 2025. Fashion press reported that it had sold out on its release day. Less structured variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40, are distinct styles from the structured Carryall 34.

On Coach’s own site for the UK, the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475. For everyday carrying, that long top-handle shape offers a dressier alternative to a coach tote bag. While comparing listings, look at the number that follows the name: 34 and 40 are not the same bag.

Kisslock Styles Compared: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel

Coach links the Kisslock motif to the Bonnie Cashin era; the name belongs to a frame clasp modeled on vintage coin purses. Be careful not to confuse the several bags that share the word. Described in reports as the opening look of the Fall 2026 show, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was observed selling for $350. The family could predate that show, as earlier Kisslock Frame versions also appear in listings.

Featuring quilted nappa leather and rivets, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 is an older-generation style that now appears mainly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. For its Spring 2026 season, Coach Originals reissued a 1973 design as the Kisslock Barrel Bag. Introducing yet another use of the name, a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.

Swinger, Swing Zip and The Coach Originals

The Coach Originals is a line of newly made reissues of archive designs, so its bags are new rather than vintage. Coach traces the original Swinger design back to 1987; it is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag featuring a turnlock. The version sold today is the Swinger Bag 20, also offered With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. The two names are not interchangeable: the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, modeled on a 1998 design.

The Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005 also featured among the Originals reported in early 2025. The Coach Originals name was reportedly already in circulation by 2020. The line offers buyers an archive look without the wear of a genuinely vintage piece.

Soho: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker

Because it covers three different products, Soho is one of the trickiest names in the Coach catalog. Back in 2006, the original Soho Flap first appeared. Unlike that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a newer, smaller reissue, produced in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. Soho styles are part of The Coach Originals, and a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also appeared in listings.

By contrast, the Soho Sneaker is footwear, featured by Coach in 2025 and 2026, putting it alongside shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. To distinguish the bags from the shoe, try adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to your search. Since no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, visit Coach’s own website before buying.

Willow, Cassie and Juliet

Approach any launch date you see online with caution: these three lines are recognizable, but none has a documented launch year. Built around pebble leather, the Willow family has featured the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. Coach’s own website has also offered a Custom Willow Tote, and the Willow Tote 24 is a straightforward example of a coach tote bag. The Cassie Crossbody Bag 19, fitted with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, belongs to Cassie, a crossbody and top-handle design.

Cassie styles have stayed listed on Coach’s own website under newer style codes. Available in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a soft, slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Because availability changes by season, confirm whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before relying on an older review.

All the Lines at a Glance: Observed Prices

Line by line, the table below lists the shape, the key date and, where one was reliably captured, an observed 2026 price. Rather than figures from an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices, and they change with size, material, color and promotions. Sales tax is left out of US prices, while VAT is included in UK prices. A coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles, while full-price styles can be marked down during sales.

Operated as Coach’s own official channel, Coach Outlet operates through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. In 2014, Coach’s head of investor relations was quoted as saying about 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. That figure is somewhat dated, and Tapestry has since discussed bringing some full-price collection product into outlets. For current-season lines, Coach’s own website or a full-price coach store continues to be the place to shop.
