Oladipo Akinremi, FIMC, CMS, CMC, Executive Director/COO of Sky Bank Sierra Leone, has been conferred with the prestigious Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) by the Institute of Management Consultants Nigeria (IMC).
The IMC is a full member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), a globally recognised body with United Nations NGO consultative status. The FIMC designation is a high-level professional fellowship from a national IMC, globally recognised via ICMCI’s member network.
Akinremi, an economist with a Master’s degree in Managerial Psychology, is also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Management Specialist (CMS) from the London Graduate School. He brings over 20 years of banking experience across West Africa, where he has consistently combined financial expertise with people-centred leadership to drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.
At a recent meeting on cross-border payments and global banking partnerships in London, Akinremi emphasised the role of technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), in reshaping both banking and management consulting. He advocated for greater digital integration to streamline international financial flows, particularly between Africa and global markets, positioning banks and consultants as critical innovation partners in today’s complex and rapidly evolving financial ecosystem. “This honour reflects Mr Akinremi’s exceptional contributions to banking and consultancy,” the IMC noted.
